Timpano Gourmet – Italian Food In Gurgaon

Jan 4, 2022 | Food

Italian food in Delhi NCR is not uncommon. We have tried Italian restaurants in Gurgaon as well. Yet, we tried Timpano Restaurant in Gurgaon, not once but twice. We tried their pasta delivery in Delhi and then their new outlet in Gurgaon. Here is why.

Timpano Gurgaon

“Timpano” has a nice ring to it. It is an Italian food service operating in Delhi NCR. They had been delivering Italian food in Delhi NCR through their cloud kitchen during corona lockdown. Attracted by the name Timpano, we had ordered a host of pasta, risotto, and dessert some months back. We were a little skeptical. Italian food has to be consumed warm. Would Italian food taste good when packed? The verdict was – yes, whichever way Timpano packed the food, it tasted fresh even when it came home on a bike.

Timpano Gourmet at 32nd Milestone

Timpano has now landed on the ground on the well. They have opened an Italian restaurant, Timpano Gourmet in the swank 32nd Milestone in Gurgaon. And we couldn’t be happier.

32nd Milestone was literally a landmark for us on NH-8. We would take that exit to visit the Cottage Industry store, the Sector 14 Market behind it, and so on.

It is like magic that this zone is now transformed into a high-end food and recreation area. It is now a hub of happening cafes and restaurants and shopping and nightlife in Gurgaon. The architecture has a luxury international feel. The broad pavements, spaced-out spots, and valet parking, all make a visit here a comforting experience.

Timpano Gourmet has made the most of the surroundings and is an outdoor café. It was a winter afternoon and we loved the alfresco setting here which we thought would be great for Sunday brunches.

Timpano has an exciting menu that includes soups, salads, bread, beverages, desserts, and of course pasta. In fact, they have several varieties of pasta. What is exciting is that they offer many combinations through which one can make hundreds of pasta dishes by trying various permutations combinations. A diner can customize their pasta whichever way they want. Timpano is happy to do it for you.

Our dining experience at Timpano Gourmet

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the weather was pleasant. It was slightly windy and sunny at the same time. We were very comfortable sitting outside enjoying the lazy sun in winter. Our friend Sachin graciously accompanied us. Sachin is a vegetarian.

We embarked on our dining journey with the vegetarian and non-vegetarian antipasti platters. We tried their fried ravioli, roast potatoes, olives, and grilled sausages. This was a perfect way to start an Italian brunch. Fried ravioli was stuffed with juicy chicken and lamb meat and we loved snacking on these while chit-chatting with their chef Sunil Marwah here. We had lemonade to wash down the food.

We are big fans of their curried vegetable calzone from the earlier home delivery experience. We couldn’t resist trying it again here. They get full marks for being consistent when it comes to taste. This was as delicious as last time. Maybe a bit better as we had it straight baked from their mini earthen oven in the kitchen. We next tried Confed Chicken Roast Cannelloni. This lasagna dish was baked to perfection. Cheesy gooey goodness just melted in the mouth and the dish was a delight to our taste buds.

italian fish n chips at timpano

We were full and about to go for desserts but looking at fish and chips on the menu, we had second thoughts. The chef also highly recommended their Italian-style beer batter fish ‘n’ chips and we went for it. This deep-fried sinful deliciousness was elevated with creamy tarter. The fries were crisp and yummy. Add chilled beer to this, and your weekend is made.

tiramisu brownie and coffee in Gurgaon

For desserts, we had their Tiramisu and Fudgy Brownie. The brownie was procured from partners Vishal and Niyati’s separate bakery venture The Cherry Tree. Paired with coffee this was ideal in adding the pre-Christmas vibe to our weekend. Also, it was a befitting end to this delightful al fresco brunch.

Pricing at Timpano Gourmet

We were invited to try out the new outlet and to sample the menu at Timpano Gourmet. That said, looking at the pricing on the menu we found it reasonable. It is not something that burns a hole in the pocket and you can visit without bothering too much about the bill. So we can say, even after Timpano landed from their cloud kitchen, their pricing is literally down to earth.

The secret behind Timpano pasta

We keep trying our Italian food, especially pasta, wherever we go. Timpano surprised us with their extremely tasty plates of pasta. Apparently, the secret behind the taste is Timpano’s fresh hand-rolled pasta that is made in their kitchen.

Since they make their own pasta, they are free to customise the dough. No wonder they have offbeat pasta options for health-conscious folks too. We could not have imagined dishes like amaranth and flaxseed baked macaroni etc. on the menu of an Italian restaurant.

Last but not the least, their hand-curated pasta hampers are available for sale at the restaurant. They would make great gifts for any occasion.

Is Timpano restaurant worth it?

We did it once. And we did it again. Our view is unanimous. We would highly recommend Timpano not just for consistently delicious Italian food but also for value for money.

Even I visited Timpano last month and echo the same sentiments. I loved that you could make your own pasta by choosing pasta, sauce, and add-ons. Their antipasti platter is to die for!
