Pizza Hut is out to bewitch its patrons all over again. Grapevine had it that something new in is the offing. We have been invited at the Pizza Hut outlet, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. But the invitation contains very few details. It gets even more inexplicable when we are welcomed with devil horns to be worn as a headband.
A dark mysterious setting and the media waits with baited breath as to what is coming next. There is a magician on stage who is dressed in a chef’s coat. He engages the audience with some tricks till he holds up a dish with a black halo ring!
It’s a new avatar – The Wicked Black Pizza that grabs all eyeballs while all the flashguns light up the room. The Wicked Black is a beautiful black coloured pizza dotted with bright toppings. The black shade apparently is an effect of a secret natural ingredient.
Everybody wants a taste impatiently. One bite of the slice and the base is almost as stringy as the heavy lawyers of mozzarella on it. The vegetarian and not vegetarian toppings have their own takers. All’s good just so far. Enter chipotle sauce that adds a wicked spicy twist to the proceedings – the whole house wants more. The verdict is out. The Wicked Black Pizza is just magic.
One can order any pan pizza variant on the current menu with a black crust at no extra cost. As of now, the Wicked Black Pizza is available only in Gurgaon, that too for a limited period – 8 weeks, roughly August end. So try it soon and have your take on this naughty dish. To turn the old adage on its head, all Wicked Black things must come to an end too.
