Just when you thought that sci fi genre had reached its pinnacle, X-Men Storm back in packed cinema houses piquing your brain with Wolverine nails and attracting you like Magneto and invading your thoughts like Prof. X. This time, X-Men are time travelling to fight Sentinels, another genetically mutated species developed to annihilate X-Men. This sequel is an extension of X-Men: First Class and borrows very little from other X-Men films.
In this film Quicksilver and Mystique outshine the regulars like Wolverine, Magneto and others. The kitchen scene with Quicksilver is worth many a hoots. He provides comic relief to an otherwise intense and edge of the seat sci fi.
What makes an X-Men film stand out from a Rajnikant film (both have scenes where bullets freeze in air) is superb special effects that emanate from a tight script and efficient direction. All these make X-Men believable.
The film ends on a happy note where Dr. X is back to running his mutant school.
