The Capital City Minstrels is one of the most popular chamber choirs of Delhi NCR. We have been following their performances since last few years. Listening to them has always been a delight and brief account of some our earlier experiences are  here: Music Without Boundaries, Rhythms Of The World & Christmas concert.

Their conductor Carolyn Remy is performing her last season and in commemoration of her role in the choir, they are having a series of performances at Delhi NCR.

THE PERFORMANCE

We watched them at India Habitat Centre a recent Thursday evening. They performed a bunch of popular numbers starting from the recent One Republic song “Counting Stars” to all time hits like “Wakka Wakka” and ”Jai Ho”.

Although the concert was named “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, most of the songs were more than love songs. They exuded hope and positivity that are the most necessary tools of survival.

The programme started at around 8.30 in the evening and was done by 10. Such is the mesmerizing effect of the choir that we were humming the numbers till bedtime.

We hope to see many more performances of choir music by The Capital City Minstrels at various other venues in Delhi NCR
