World Dance Day was widely celebrated in Delhi. As part of these celebrations, Nehha Bhtnagar performed Bharatnatyam along with Himanshu Srivastava at Zorba, The Buddha. Zorba The Buddha is a fascinating culture center tucked inside the farmhouse area of Ghitorni.

The program was held in the gazebo in the lawn surrounded by a water body that was lit with floating candles. The venue was magical. Nehha and the audience, who were seated on the floor were in close proximity with each other.  This helped her performance to cast its spell easily.

Given that it was week evening we managed to see only the later half of the performance.  She performed the navras based on Lord Krishna. She introduced the piece in English and then rendered a deft presentation. Her body movements fortified by her abhinaya skills established that she was an expert. She ended the performance by thanking her guru Smt. Saroja Baidyanathan. We look forward to more such performances at Zorba The Buddha.
