Fabcafe serves unique menu in their Aerocity outlet
We have been avid shoppers at Fabindia and have dined at Fab Café, Vasant Kunj. The Kathal (jackfruit) Biryani in quinoa was a new experience. The experience drew us to the newly opened Fab Café at Worldmark 3 mall, Aerocity.

Designer Prasad Bidapa is well known for his work with Indian textiles and fashion. He recently held an exhibition at Bikaner House. The show, Saris of Memory, was about revival of specially selected saris from the personal collection of women.
The Reel Canada – Festival of Canadian Films in Delhi
The High Commission of Canada and Habitat Film Club have collaborated to bring THE REEL CANADA, a bouquet of Canadian films for Delhi audience. Mark our words; since we don’t get to see too many films from this country sitting in Delhi, this is a rare treat. It is a 4-days festival, 18 – 21 July 2018 at India Habitat Centre.
Hilsa Festival at Oh Calcutta
Ask any seafood fan in India and they would have an opinion on the Hilsa. People in West Bengal swear by their “Ilish”. It is there go-to item for any sort of celebration. We finally got our date with this delicacy in Delhi. Oh Calcutta! CyberHub is hosting “Hilsa Festival” till September 2018 but we couldn’t wait. We just had to do it last weekend.
Celebration of India US 70 years of relations
American Center at Kasturba Gandhi Marg is holding an exhibition of archival photographs marking 70 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries. The exhibition is on till 14 August 2018 and shows photographs that date back to 1950s. The exhibition was inaugurated through a cultural program and we were glad to be invited for the beautiful evening.
World Chocolate Day celebration at Fabelle – ITC Maurya
Fabelle at ITC Maurya Hotel recently celebrated World Chocolate Day. They had put together a chocolate Master class followed by a grand buffet lunch at the restaurant Pavilion and high tea. It sounded promising but we wondered whether it was really for us.

The well known chai chain – Chaayos keeps changing its menu according to the season. They now have a New Monsoon menu going and we needed a shelter from the showers last Friday. We rushed into Chaayos and saw that we weren’t alone. Almost all tables were occupied by wet folks munching something or sipping chai.

Tirthan Anglers Retreat – A heavenly stay in Tirthan Valley
Tirthan Anglers’ Retreat is a beautiful resort in Tirthan Valley tucked among the remote hills of Himachal Pradesh. The Retreat is on the bank of Phalachan River, a tributary of Tirthan River. In fact the river almost winds its way through this resort. It is already monsoon in the hills and we just spent a couple of amazing days here fishing for happiness. Quite literally so.
