Agra: The City of Architectural Wonders
Agra has been immortalised by Shahjahan’s Taj Mahal – one of the Wonders of the World. But there is more to Agra than the Taj – the other mausoleums, street food, shopping and a visit to another Mughal site in the vicinity –Fatehpur Sikri. No wonder Agra features in the list for almost all tourists to Delhi. For a tourist, a convenient way to visit Agra from NCR is hire a taxi and one has a fantastic day trip in the offing.

The vegetarian food scene is admittedly awesome in India. However, just in case you are a little overexposed to Dal Makhani or Shahi paneer, there are a host of new options in Delhi NCR. Burma Burma at Cyberhub serves vegetarian food. The cuisine certainly has Indian influences hence it sits nicely on our palates.

Film festival bring forth a plethora of productions that we would not have come across otherwise. In the recently concluded Habitat Film Festival, we watched a bunch of films, some of which, we didn’t know existed. “Jugni” is one such film that went unnoticed last year.

We keep scouring restaurants in Delhi NCR. And once in a while we land up at a place that makes our efforts worthwhile. Greenr at Shahpur Jat is quite a match for that design laden area. Simple and stylish, its definitely worth a try.

For an outdoor activity this summer, one can come to Naini Lake. This is tucked inside Model Town and is maintained by Delhi Tourism Ministry. If you make the effort, we can guarantee – you will not regret coming here.

Praktan – the latest Tollywood kid on the block
The much published Bengali film Praktan was released last week. It is running in many multiplexes in Delhi – Gurgaon – Noida etc. The film has great camera work, nice music, English subtitles and very little Bengali hangover. This foresight smoothens the process of connecting with the world audience.
Levels HKV
Who minds an occasional free meal, particularly if it’s a reward for winning a contest. However, trying to redeem it is a different story. We had won a dinner voucher for Levels HKV that we went to redeem. We have mixed views on this place.

We keep scouring for weekend getaways that can be covered over a Saturday – Sunday. Lansdowne in Uttarakhand is one such destination. We left on a Friday evening and returned on Sunday night. This is a brief account of our trip.
