Notes on Chai by Jyoti Dogra was presented on a late show during Bharat Rang Mahotsav. As the name suggests, the play was an abstract soliloquy that screamed “experiment”!
Lockup-Prison theme restaurant in Gurgaon
To offer something new, hoteliers are trying to think of new concepts. Sometimes, the theme does appear to be a little over the top. That said, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. So while we were a little taken aback of the jail themed restaurant “Lockup”, we got curious and recently dined here. Thankfully we do not have any first hand experience, but we are definite what they serve at “Lockup” is not jail food. 🙂

We are all for plating and the drama but in Farzi’s case it was an overkill. At the end of the day the proof is in the taste. We felt their dishes had a lot of oomph but not enough substance. Read on to know why do we think so…

Neerja – Art on celluloid
“Neerja” by Ram Madhvani had a much awaited release recently. It is common knowledge that the story is based on the PANAM aircraft hijack incident in 1983 where the chief purser Neerja Bhanot showed outstanding courage in trying to save the passengers. She has been a source of inspiration and the film captures the incident with admirable sincerity.
