Given the central location and the daily footfall, Connaught Place has been very sought after for the hospitality industry. However, of late, given the sprouting of restaurants, one on top of the others, this area is a food hub. We came visiting CP for work or hanging out. Recently we visited the restaurant 38 Barracks with f&b on our minds.

Pizza Express – Pizza Hall of Fame
Pizza allures all. And we never try to resist this temptation. Most impressed with the Hawaiin menu at Pizza Express, Vasant Kunj, when we came across another outlet at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon, we instinctively went in. And we are very happy about it.
Chaayos – The new menu
Chaayos has introduced certain new items in their menu. While their ads, specially radio ads promote tea, more than their snacks, this is a place that people visit for food. We tried certain food items from both the menus. And of course their chai!
Prantha Junction – When you crave for simple Indian food
Parathas are a breakfast item in many households in Delhi NCR. The humble parantha has now moved up and has made its way to the chef’s tables in various commercial outlets. The epic movement of this bread is poignantly marked with a dedicated restaurant “Prantha Junction” at the posh Meherchand Market off Lodhi Road.
Sbarro – When taste beats calorie concern
Pizzas are not the healthiest food for the body. However, when it comes to nourishing the soul, they have little competition. To satiate the soul hunger of the foodies in Delhi, a host of pizza places have sprouted all over NCR. We were craving for authentic US style pizza one evening and spotted Sbarro at Connaught Place. The next one half and a hours here were sheer heaven…

Sector 29, Gurgaon has another feather in its cap. Veda and Djinggs have collaborated on the theme of presenting Indian and Chinese cuisine under the same roof. We recently attended their pre launch and look forward to the formal opening.

Witlinger’s Friendship Day “BFF – Beer Friends Forever”
Puritans complain of these relationship days as marketing gimmicks. But who cares as long as folks have a good time. Sunday, 7th August, 2016 was Friendship Day. We had a great time afternoon with friends over F&B at FLYP@MTV and raise our toast to friendship.
India On My Plate – Review
India On My Plate, a part of Fortune Select Excalibur, Sohna Road has recently put up a lot of hoardings that got us curious. This was obviously before the rain disaster in that area and we visited this restaurant for brunch on a recent Saturday. Do try to get a table beside the glass wall since it offers a nice view.
Asia Alive at DoubleTree by Hilton Gurgaon
Buffets are good for people who liked variety in a meal. The trick is to sift through the elaborate spread and pick items of ones liking. Since there is always something for everyone in the party, we like buffet meals. We recently visited Asia Alive at DoubleTree by Hilton Gurgaon to try out their buffet.
Just for Chai – Review
Tea and rains go hand in hand. We have been targeting Just for Chai for a while now. We were in the vicinity of Golf Course Road the other day and used this opportunity to check out this place.
Ping’s Café Orient – Review
Of late, Delhi has awesome weather and one wants to be outdoor even during the day. This makes us adventurous and experimental and try out new places for Saturday lunch. We had decided to watch a documentary at India Habitat Centre last Saturday evening. Therefore, we chose Ping’s Café Orient, that is walkable from IHC, as our lunch venue.
Wagh Bakri Greater Kailash (GK) – We raise our cups
Our exploration for new tea places continues. Being huge fans of Wagh Bakri tea lounges, we recently visited their outlet at GK. Tea is our “chicken soup for the soul” and hence we did not mind the extra drive to reach this place. Located in the GK M Block Market, this place needs a little bit of figuring out. But, once you are there, you are there
