CentreStage Weekend 2025
The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) presents the third edition of CentreStage Weekend, a dedicated platform that highlights emerging artists and collectives shaping the future of Indian performing arts. This annual showcase brings together exceptional young talents whose innovative work reflects fresh thought, rigorous training, and evolving artistic expressions.
This year’s edition unfolds over two evenings, featuring a vibrant blend of classical music and dance:
Day 1 – Carnatic Music
Experience the brilliance of:
- Rahul Vellal, the Carnatic music prodigy acclaimed for his mastery, depth, and global performances
- Uthara Unnikrishnan, an award-winning playback singer known for her mellifluous voice and powerful range
Together, they present an evening of soul-stirring music rooted in tradition yet resonant with contemporary sensibilities.
Day 2 – Indian Classical Dance
The second evening celebrates movement and storytelling with:
- Raaginni Hindocha, a promising Odissi dancer bringing grace, imagination, and expressive depth
- Pritam Das, an energetic Bharatanatyam artist known for precision, rhythm, and dynamic stage presence
Both performers represent the new generation of Indian classical dance, blending technique with youthful interpretation.
