Presented by Artisera, Constructed Stillness brings together two Bangalore artists whose materially and visually distinct practices are united by a shared inquiry into how stillness is constructed, patiently, deliberately, and over time. In a world marked by speed and constant disruption, the exhibition proposes another rhythm: one in which calm is not assumed, but made.

Ashu Gupta builds intricate worlds through pen and ink and paper piercing, where repetition becomes rhythm and each mark is a unit of time. Her densely layered compositions invite sustained viewing, reflecting themes of memory, nature, childhood, and fleeting human experience.

Sangeeta Abhay approaches stillness through oil, gold leaf, resin, metal, and found materials, constructing forms that balance complexity with clarity. Engaging deeply with the idea of Utpatti (origin), her works capture the moment where form has emerged and settled into presence. A landmark sculpture constructed using 108 discarded keyboards reassembles tools of instant communication into a contemplative state of calm and continuity.

This marks the first time both Ashu Gupta and Sangeeta Abhay are exhibiting in Delhi.
