Earthsongs From Japan | Kumagai Minoru Debut Solo Exhibition

LIVNGO Hospitality LLP as it presents Earthsongs From Japan, a rare solo showcase by internationally acclaimed Japanese artist Kumagai Minoru, curated by Uma Nair.

Opening at Kalamkaar Bikaner House from 25 February to 1 March 2026, the exhibition marks the artists first debut presentation in India of a significant body of Kumagai’s works on paper. The show features 50 paintings that reflect his distinctive “Saihaku” technique — a striking fusion of traditional Japanese pigments with gold, silver, and coloured foil, creating luminous contemporary landscapes rooted in nature, memory, and spiritual harmony.

The exhibition showcases a series of landscapes that speaks to us about the beauty of the seasons, the power of the human hand as well as the observations that form the mind’s eye.
