Gujral Within 2026: Satish Gujral Centenary Exhibition

Gujral Within: An Introspection is a special centenary exhibition honouring the life and artistic legacy of modern Indian master Satish Gujral (1925–2025). Presented by RGAL | Raseel Gujral Art Legacy in collaboration with Dhoomimal Art Centre, the exhibition will be held at Bikaner House, New Delhi.

Conceived not as a conventional retrospective, Gujral Within offers an inward and reflective journey into the artist’s practice. The exhibition brings together a carefully curated selection of paintings, drawings, and sculptures drawn entirely from the private collection of Raseel Gujral, many of which are being displayed publicly for the first time.

The exhibition focuses largely on the final decade of Satish Gujral’s artistic practice, a period marked by restraint, clarity, and distilled form. Rather than scale or spectacle, the presentation emphasises intimacy and proximity, allowing viewers to engage deeply with Gujral’s visual language and philosophical approach.

A key highlight of the exhibition is the first acquisition-led presentation under RGAL, inviting collectors, art patrons, and design enthusiasts to connect personally with Gujral’s work. The exhibition also marks the release of a centenary limited-edition print series, featuring five previously uneditioned works from the private collection. Each print is individually numbered, authenticated, and produced on museum-grade archival paper using archival pigment processes.

Gujral Within stands as a quiet yet powerful tribute to one of India’s most influential modern artists, offering a rare and contemplative experience of his enduring legacy.
