Sculpting Space: An Art Furniture Exhibition

Sculpting Space, an exclusive art furniture exhibition by The Lookbook Co., will be unveiled in New Delhi this January, presenting a refined dialogue between sculptural art and functional design. Hosted in the creative enclave of Village Ghitorni, the exhibition introduces a luxury furniture collection conceived as autonomous art objects rather than conventional interior pieces.

Curated as an intimate showcase, the exhibition explores furniture as sculptural composition, where form, proportion, and material presence take precedence over ornamentation. Drawing inspiration from art, architecture, and material experimentation, The Lookbook Co. redefines contemporary luxury through restraint, permanence, and conceptual clarity.

Each piece in the collection is meticulously handcrafted using natural materials and artisanal techniques, with creation timelines spanning over a month—or more—for individual works. These pieces are not designed merely to occupy space but to command it, inviting contemplation, emotional engagement, and interaction.

Speaking ahead of the exhibition, Aparna Patodia, Founder of The Lookbook Co., emphasised that the collection began not with furniture, but with form, emotion, and material truth—positioning authorship and intent as the new markers of luxury.

Conceived specifically for architects and interior designers, the exhibition addresses spaces as cultural and emotional experiences. Presented in collaboration with Ochre Art, Nehaa Wadhwaa, and Samridhi Agarwal, the showcase reflects an international Art Nouveau influence, where contemporary art and sculptural furniture exist in thoughtful conversation.
