Habitat Film Festival 2026 Returns to Delhi with a Celebration of Indian Cinema
Cinema lovers in Delhi have another reason to spend long hours at India Habitat Centre this May as the 18th Habitat Film Festival (HFF) 2026 returns with a packed line-up of feature films, documentaries, shorts, retrospectives, filmmaker conversations, workshops, and special screenings.
Known for bringing together meaningful cinema from across languages and regions, the festival has become one of the capital’s most loved annual film gatherings. This year’s edition focuses on the many shades of Indian cinema, blending contemporary storytelling with restored classics, independent voices, and critically acclaimed films from 2025–2026.
From thought-provoking documentaries and regional gems to filmmaker interactions and curated retrospectives, the festival promises something for both serious cinephiles and casual moviegoers. Several screenings will also be accompanied by discussions and audience interactions, making it more than just a film-viewing experience.
The festival will take place across multiple venues inside India Habitat Centre, including the iconic Stein Auditorium and The Theatre. Registrations for screenings are being opened in phases, and many shows are expected to draw full houses over the ten-day run.
