Instituto Cervantes Presents ‘Mover Montañas’ by Alberto Velasco as Part of Pride Month 2026

As part of its ongoing Mes del Orgullo 2026 (Pride Month) celebrations, Instituto Cervantes New Delhi invites audiences to experience Mover Montañas (Moving Mountains), a powerful contemporary performance by acclaimed Spanish artist Alberto Velasco. The event forms part of a wider programme celebrating queer creativity, diversity, identity, and artistic expression through performances, conversations, and cultural exchanges.

Rather than presenting a traditional interpretation of folklore, Mover Montañas explores how tradition can be reimagined through the lens of the contemporary body and lived experience. Through movement, performance, and physical expression, Alberto Velasco creates a space where heritage, identity, memory, and freedom intersect, challenging conventional narratives while celebrating transformation and self-expression.
