Maati Ki Boli: Essence of Land – Folk Music & Dance
Experience the soulful heritage of Maharashtra through Maati Ki Boli: Essence of Land, a special evening dedicated to traditional folk music and its deep-rooted cultural stories.
Dr. Shailesh Srivastava, an acclaimed vocalist and recipient of the Central Sangeet Natak Akademi Award 2022, will present the lyrical and rhythmic beauty of:
• Gan–Gondhal
• Vagya–Murli
• Jagran (Khandoba)
• Gaulang (Gopi–Krishna dialogue)
• Baithakicha Lavani
Trained under Padma Bhushan Pt. Rajan and Pt. Sajan Mishra of the Banaras gharana, Dr. Srivastava is celebrated for her mastery across languages, regions, and folk traditions.
