LATITUDE 28 will present Overland, There’s Shorter Time to Dream, a thought-provoking group exhibition curated by Shristi Sainani that brings together the works of sixteen contemporary artists from diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds. Through a wide range of artistic practices, the exhibition explores migration not simply as physical movement, but as an ongoing journey shaped by memory, identity, language, displacement, and belonging.
Featuring painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, textiles, and multidisciplinary works, the exhibition reflects on the emotional and cultural experiences that accompany movement across borders. The participating artists examine personal and collective histories while considering themes such as exile, resettlement, cultural translation, inheritance, and the evolving idea of home.
Rather than offering a single narrative, Overland, There’s Shorter Time to Dream presents multiple perspectives on migration, inviting visitors to reflect on what people carry with them, what they leave behind, and how memories continue to shape identity long after journeys end. The exhibition creates a space for dialogue around movement, resilience, and the shared human experience of searching for belonging.
Bringing together artists from different regions and disciplines, the exhibition promises a rich and engaging exploration of one of the defining themes of our time through the language of contemporary art.
