Padharo Mhare Des – an Evening of Rajasthani Folk Music

Arpan Foundation Celebrates ‘Padharo Mhare Des’ with an Evening of Rajasthani Folk Music
Delhi audiences are invited to a special musical evening celebrating Padharo Mhare Des, the iconic Rajasthani folk song that recently gained international attention after being performed to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to The Hague in the Netherlands.
Hosted by folk singer and philanthropist Manesha A. Agarwal, the event will revisit the spirit and cultural significance of the beloved composition while showcasing the rich musical traditions of Rajasthan. The evening is being organised by the Arpan Foundation, an initiative dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditional folk music heritage of Rajasthan.
A key highlight of the programme will be performances by talented young artists from the Manganiyar and Langa communities, who are being trained and supported through the Arpan Music Lab. These musicians represent one of India’s most treasured folk traditions, known for their soulful voices, intricate melodies, and centuries-old musical lineage.
The evening will also be graced by Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Government of India, as the Chief Guest.
For lovers of folk music, cultural heritage, and Rajasthan’s rich artistic traditions, this promises to be a memorable celebration of music, identity, and living heritage.
