Past Perfect: A Thousand Years of Indian Art Exhibition

Step into a thousand years of India’s artistic heritage at Past Perfect: A Thousand Years of Indian Art, a major exhibition bringing together more than 70 works spanning the 9th to the 19th centuries.
Presented at The Quorum, Gurugram, the exhibition brings together paintings, sculptures, textiles, bronzes and decorative arts, offering a glimpse into the changing traditions of patronage, devotion and craftsmanship across the Indian subcontinent.
Jointly curated by Todywalla Auctions, Heirloom Art and Itihāsology, the exhibition features works connected to Mughal, Deccani and Rajput ateliers, Jain manuscript traditions, illustrated Shahnamas, Radha-Krishna imagery, Pala sculptures, bronze icons and decorative objects.
The exhibition will also host The Koh-i-Noor: Legacy. Legends. Legalities. on 5 September, a fireside conversation examining provenance, restitution, cultural property and public memory surrounding the world’s most contested gemstones. The discussion will feature Lily Pandeya, Sanjoy Roy and Rana Safvi, moderated by Kudrat Singh, with opening remarks by Advocate Ricky Chopra.
