Raseedi Ticket Play on Amrita Pritam at IIC
Experience the extraordinary life and literary legacy of Padma Vibhushan Amrita Pritam through Raseedi Ticket, a powerful one-woman play inspired by her autobiography, stories, and poetry.
Designed and directed by Dr. Savita Rani, with a script by Sudha Adukula, the production features Shalom Sannutha in a compelling solo performance. Through theatre, music, and evocative storytelling, the play traces Amrita Pritam’s journey as a poet, novelist, and fearless voice who challenged conventions with her writings on love, freedom, identity, and the resilience of women.
Supported by music from Munna Mysore and art by Khaju Guttal, Raseedi Ticket offers audiences an intimate glimpse into the woman behind some of India’s most celebrated literary works.
