Walking Root Route – Solo Art Exhibition by Monali Meher
LATITUDE 28 presents Walking Root Route, a solo exhibition by internationally acclaimed multidisciplinary artist Monali Meher. Featuring recent works across sculpture, installation, drawing, textiles, photography, video, and participatory practice, the exhibition explores the interconnected themes of ecology, migration, memory, labour, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
Inspired by the intertwined ideas of “root” and “route,” the exhibition reflects on movement as a force that continually shapes landscapes, identities, and shared histories. Through materially rich and thought-provoking works, Monali Meher examines how migration, environmental change, and cultural exchange leave lasting impressions on both people and places, encouraging viewers to reflect on connection, care, coexistence, and belonging.
Known for her immersive artistic practice, Meher brings together diverse mediums to create works that invite audiences to engage with contemporary social and environmental concerns through personal and collective experiences.
