SG100: Satish Gujral – A Century in Form, Fire, and Vision

January 16 @ 10:00 AM - March 31 @ 6:00 PM

Major Retrospective Exhibition at NGMA, New Delhi

A landmark centenary exhibition celebrating Satish Gujral, one of India’s most influential modern artists and architects. Curated by Kishore Singh in collaboration with the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, this retrospective traces Gujral’s extraordinary seven-decade artistic journey.

From powerful Partition-era paintings to monumental murals and sculptures, the exhibition showcases Gujral’s evolution as a painter, sculptor, muralist, and thinker whose work shaped India’s modern visual identity. Born in 1925 in Jhelum (now Pakistan), Gujral transformed personal adversity and historical upheaval into a deeply human artistic language rooted in empathy, craftsmanship, and vision.

This exhibition forms the cornerstone of Gujral’s centenary celebrations across India.
