Touching Light: A Prelude to the Bicentennial of Photography

ouching Light is the first exhibition in India to trace the 150+ year journey of analog photography, bridging the earliest photographic archives with contemporary practice. Curated by Aditya Arya, this landmark show unfolds as a tribute to photography’s pioneers and its living masters.
As the world moves toward the bicentennial of photography in 2027, the exhibition celebrates photography’s evolution from rare 19th-century treasures to contemporary works that continue to shape India’s visual memory.

Featuring historical and contemporary photography in dialogue, the exhibition reflects the tactile, imperfect, and deeply human essence of analog photography.
