Indian Horror Series Ghoul Premiers on Netflix today

Aug 24, 2018 | Movies, TV Series

Netflix is here to stay. They are making shows in India exclusively for their channel. They are riding the success wave with the recently released Sacred Games. To take the thrill one step further, they have come up with a horror series – Ghoul. The 3 part series stars Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul.

Ghoul is going to premiere In India today, 24th August 2018, on Netflix.

We were invited to a special media preview of Ghoul on 23rd August at DLF Place, Saket. Djinns are in these days… From Disney Aladdin’s stage version to this year’s early release Pari, we keep hearing references to djinns now and then. The new Netflix series also talks about a djinn – Ghoul. While we ain’t spilling more beans and spoiling it for you, all we can say from the media preview is that it is a great watch. Full of thrills, horror, gory bloodbath, action, and whatnot, the show is very engaging. Perfect binge-watch material for all couch potatoes.

The screening of the movie was followed by interaction with the cast and crew including director Patrick Graham, producer Vikramaditya Motwane, and actors Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul. The discussion was moderated by Mayank Shekhar of the Jagran Film Festival. Interestingly Radhika Apte seems to be an in-house actress for Netflix films and series. From Lust Stories to Sacred Games to Ghoul, the talented actress has come a long way. The session ended with a Q&A session with the media. Everybody seemed excited about the show.

As for us, television is not our habit. But we opted for a Netflix subscription and are already hooked on to it. The preview of Ghoul was very edge-of-the-seat and we are most definitely going to follow this series. Let us know if you watched it and what did you think.

I will skip this as I am not interested in Horror Shows. If you have seen once, then there is no point in seeing again as you can see what will be the next. But trailer looks promising.
