Karnataka Tourism Society (KTS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC), and Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd. (JLR), has successfully concluded its Gujarat Series B2B Tourism Roadshows.
The four-city roadshow was held from June 24 to June 27, 2026, covering Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat. The initiative aimed to strengthen Karnataka’s presence in one of India’s important domestic travel markets while creating new business opportunities for tourism stakeholders.

Over 600 Buyers Participate Across Four Cities
The Gujarat tourism roadshows attracted more than 600 travel trade buyers, who interacted with around 40 tourism stakeholders from Karnataka. The business networking sessions showcased Karnataka’s wide range of tourism experiences, including:
- Heritage tourism
- Cultural tourism
- Wildlife and eco-tourism
- Adventure tourism
- Luxury resorts and hospitality
- Nature-based experiences
The roadshows offered travel agents and tour operators an opportunity to build partnerships with hotels, resorts, destination management companies, and tourism service providers from Karnataka.

Along with these, many other hotels, resorts, travel companies, and destination specialists represented Karnataka’s growing tourism ecosystem.
Interactive Sessions Added to the Experience

To make the events more engaging, Karnataka Tourism Society organised quizzes based on Karnataka’s tourist destinations along with raffle draws at every venue. Winning participants received complimentary stay vouchers and gift hampers, helping create stronger connections between Karnataka’s tourism partners and the travel trade community from Gujarat.
Gujarat Remains a Key Domestic Tourism Market
Speaking about the success of the initiative, K. Syama Raju, President of Karnataka Tourism Society (KTS), said the response from Gujarat’s travel industry had been highly encouraging. He noted that Gujarat continues to be one of Karnataka’s most important domestic tourism source markets. Building on the success of the recently concluded Discover Chikkamagaluru campaign, these roadshows further strengthened Karnataka’s efforts to position itself as a preferred destination for both domestic and international travellers.

More Roadshows Planned Across India
According to Jagadeesh H., Secretary of Karnataka Tourism Society (KTS), the Gujarat series highlighted the strength of collaboration between government agencies and private tourism stakeholders. He also announced an extensive calendar of upcoming domestic tourism roadshows, which will cover several key markets across the country, including Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, Rajasthan, Punjab and NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
Cities such as Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Pune, Nagpur, Indore, Bhopal, Chennai, Kochi, Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam are part of the planned outreach programme. These initiatives are expected to further strengthen Karnataka’s domestic tourism network and increase awareness among travel professionals across the country.
Karnataka Tourism Continues to Expand Its Domestic Outreach
The successful completion of the Gujarat Series B2B Roadshows reflects Karnataka Tourism Society’s continued focus on strengthening partnerships with the travel trade while promoting the state’s diverse tourism experiences. With more roadshows planned across India, Karnataka aims to further boost domestic tourism and encourage travellers to explore its rich heritage, wildlife, coffee plantations, beaches, luxury stays, and cultural attractions.
