Dwarka is still unexplored by people in Delhi/Gurgaon. We were in this area for the Kite Festival and explored a tea cafe here – Chaiyum. We found their chai karak and food yum.

Winter is here and so are the chai wallahs at various markets, crossings, nooks and corners. Their aromatic decoction has warmed many a winter mornings. In the last few years tea has graduated to cafes and bored of coffee, many have changed allegiance. No wonder the tea cafes are experiencing growing patronage all over NCR. Chilis CP Serves Amazing Drinks Along With Yummy Tex Mex food
We have been to Chili’s in Boston and loved the fuss free dining experience. Chili’s Grill and Bar in New Delhi has launched a new bar menu. Recently, we visited Chili’s Connaught Place outlet and in this sweltering weather, the new bar menu was great news. It was already dinner time so we tried some Tex-Mex dishes and some decadent desserts as well.
Halka Fulka – Pocket friendly food in CP
Connaught Place has been sprouting food places last couple of years. But let’s face it, there are very few pocket friendly option that serves quality food. This evening we just chanced upon this roll shop around C Block on inner circle. Sadly no seating space here, which we badly needed after a frenzy shopping in this area. Nevertheless it was one of those days when we prioritized taste over comfort and quality. It was a compromise but was it worth?
The Great Kabab Factory Celebrates 20 Years
The Great Kabab Factory at Radisson is celebrating its 20th anniversary and has a special menu. The commemorative menu comprises their most popular kababs over the years. Being suckers for kababs, we just had to check this out. While they are running the menu at all their branches, for us, this time it was Radisson Blu Marina Hotel, Connaught Place.
Try Khadi Cafe for pocket friendly vegetarian quick bites in CP
Khadi has opened an annexe, Khadi Haat, in the courtyard in front of Hanuman Mandir, Baba Kharag Singh Marg, Connaught Place. Bang opposite is now a Khadi Café, a food window with seating arrangement outside. Khadi Café is a new beginning for sure and the sudden drizzle some time back gave us the perfect reason for us to stop by and try this place.
Winter Menu at Chaayos CP
This is rare. It was two firsts for us. A) Being “tea-totallers: we were keen to try the new Chaayos outlet at Connaught Place. B) Chaayos keeps tweaking their menu as per the season. The new winter menu was just launched and we were invited to try that.
Lady Baga-a bit of Goan-a bit of Portuguese
Colonization happened in India in various phases and not all of it was bad. The Portuguese came and occupied many patches across the country such as Chandernagore and Goa. While they developed the printing industry from Chandernagore, they did amazing things to Goa for which we will remain forever grateful 🙂 Lady Baga is a Goan themed resto-bar at Connaught Place that is coming up with a Portuguese menu. “Saying Yes” – production of Kaivalya Plays
“Saying Yes” is an English play that is adapted from the works of Griselda Gambaro, the Argentinian playwright. Kaivalya Plays recently presented this piece at a rather informal setting at Instituto Cervantes off Connaught Place. It was a late rainy Sunday evening and the surging audience in the basement theatre was heartening assurance of growing interest in theatre in Delhi NCR.
