Why Do Grown-ups Have All The Fun – Superhero Action Movies For Children On ZEE5

May 19, 2020 | Movies

ZEE5 is like spring that creeps in unnoticed. We were hooked on to internet content and web series way before our home-grown ZEE5 made an entry. Gradually this channel crept into our routine. We thoroughly enjoyed the web series Kaali, a thriller with an interesting twist to the concept of the Divine Mother Kaali and have made a post on that.

ZEE5 Children’s Programs

This post is however about the exciting content ZEE5 has been streaming in the area of programs for children. What with the lockdown segueing into summer vacation, children tend to get exhausted soon with physical activities. At such times, clean and wholesome children’s shows are an effective way of keeping them engaged.

ZEE5 has come up with a bouquet of such shows on their platform.  What is impressive is the variety of concepts they have come up with. After all, not 2 children are the same and each is to their own. Some would be living in the fairytale world while some would-be comedy movie fans. Some may be living the Indian mythological dream while some may watch nothing but cartoons and animations. ZEE5 children’s programs cater to all sorts of tastes and cover the whole gamut of cinematic work for children. We found such sensitivity to the diverse emotional requirements of children very poignant. And not to forget that there is a child somewhere in each of us too.

Superhero Action Movies on ZEE5

From experience, we can say that our inner child loves Superhero Action Movies. On exploring ZEE5 we came across a bunch of Hindi movies that could be of interest to the young Superhero Action Movie buff. Here is a brief guide to some of these shows.

Chhota Hatim and Seven Monsters

This movie is a must-watch since it took us to our childhood where our grandmothers would tell us stories of a princess in distress being rescued by the hero.  An evil magician Vinashak transforms Princess Leela to stone. It is now on our hero Hatim and his friends to destroy seven monsters with different magical powers and save the princess.  A child, in his pure world, is always looking for magic; for the destruction of evil by good. In fact, such values when inculcated in childhood go a long way in developing the moral fabric of a child’s character. We, therefore, find this show very relatable and a hit with the little fighters we nurture at home. The beautiful animation is succour to soar eyes.

Hero No. 1

This one is a must-watch for those little dudes who like contemporary plots and storylines. This is again another clean piece of entertainment presented by way of beautiful animation. Our hero in this story, aptly named Vir, is an upright soul and the apple of the eye of all citizens.  His archrival Mad Max is jealous of Vir’s popularity and leaves no stone unturned to malign Vir’s image. However, Vir sees through the evil designs of Mad Max every time. His goons are defeated over and over and Vir emerges victorious every time.  It is a simple and relatable storyline that is a fusion of fun and bravado and will surely have your little one glued to their seat.

GG Bond ultimate battle

This one is a must-watch for all those starlets who dream action and keep enacting that when awake. This is a Chinese style animation and part of the GG Bond film series. The images are fresh and bound to break the monotony of the animation style we are familiar within India. The story is a surprising fusion of fairytale and action. The Fairy World has put their differences with the Monsters at rest and re looking forward to peace. But peace is short-lived since the guardian of the Fairy World suffers misfortune. It is now on the superhero GG Bond to defeat the monsters and save the fairy world. This adventure comedy is bound to push the envelope of creativity among children while entertaining them.

Vir ka Mahasangram

This is another one from the superhero Vir series. If your little one has enjoyed Hero No. 1, this one is a must-watch. Vir and mad Max are again at loggerheads here. Mad Max, smarting from several defeats in his fight with Vir, launches his most dangerous attack. To this end, Mad Max bestows evil powers to his accomplices such as Timabktoo, Cat Mona, Danger Devil and Dark Magnus. But as usual, they are all unsuccessful in defeating Vir who finally emerges victorious. The good versus evil fight and the victory of the good homily is relatable without age and is a tried and tested way of fascinating children. This movie has a wholesome approach that has good entertainment at heart.

Actually, good entertainment is at the heart of all the above children’s movies that we have discussed. It keeps them busy, entertained while giving them a subtle message. Come to think of it, why kids alone? Watching these movies on ZEE5 can be a family activity that engages the young one while relaxing you. So, we suggest you participate with the children in their entertainment pleasure and reconnect with the child inside you. You can thank us later for our ZEE5 recommendation.

These are some great options! We know we are sharing these with our nieces and nephews. This way the parents can also chill a bit during this lockdown period while the kids are keeping busy with these.

We have been so occupied with Disney + Hotstar that we haven’t checked out what other streaming services have to offer children. Will certainly explore these shows with my son!
