Aadyam Theatre, the theatre initiative by the Aditya Birla Group, returns with its Season 8 production Dil Ka Haal Sune Dilwala—a warm, witty, and emotionally layered play inspired by Sarah Ruhl’s acclaimed work Dead Man’s Cellphone. Directed by Mohit Takalkar, the production mixes humour, live music, and heartfelt storytelling, all set against the vibrant backdrop of Mumbai.
The story revolves around Asha Parekh, a struggling actress whose ordinary day takes an unexpected turn when she answers the continuously ringing phone of a man who has suddenly passed away. What follows is a chain of strange, funny, and deeply human encounters that slowly explore themes of loneliness, identity, relationships, and the need for connection in modern life.

Aadyam Theatre has consistently brought contemporary Indian theatre to the forefront, and this latest production continues that journey with a story that feels intimate, entertaining, and relatable all at once.
