Inside Van Gogh & Da Vinci’s Worlds – Now In Delhi

Jul 15, 2025 | Art

If you’ve ever wished you could step into a painting, we’ve got exciting news: Delhi now has not one but two immersive art shows that let you do exactly that! Running at DLF Emporio (Promenade, Vasant Kunj) until 31st July, it’s a theatrical, interactive ode to Van Gogh and Leonardo da Vinci. Plus, there’s a BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) offer right now-so you can bring a friend and double the fun.

Venue: The Immersive Theatre

We parked easily in the underground parking of DLF Emporio and took the elevator up one level. That’s where Legends Immersive has set up their cool, pillar-free theatre space-fully darkened, ready for the cinematic journey. It’s hidden in plain sight, blending mall bustle with museum feels.

What Happens: First, a Short Film

Before we entered the main event, we caught a 10-15 minute film introducing both masters-Van Gogh’s emotional, rainy journeys and Da Vinci’s inventions and secret sketches. It’s a neat crash course that sets the tone for what comes next.

Entering the Heart of Art: Van Gogh First

The theatre goes pitch-black… then suddenly, Van Gogh unfolds around us. Imagine starry nights, golden sunflowers, and restless seas projected from floor to ceiling. We literally walked inside “Starry Night” and “Sunflowers”, feeling like we were part of the painting. The 300+ animated works, powered by 35 laser projectors and Dolby Atmos sound, don’t just show-they immerse. We found ourselves pausing in the middle of a projection, just soaking it all in-each brushstroke, each swirl, felt emotional and alive.

What to Expect

  • Walk through 300+ of his famous paintings-Starry Night, Sunflowers, Seascapes-all animated in motion with vivid projections that wrap around walls and floors.
  • Experience high-tech visuals supported by 35 laser projectors, Dolby Atmos sound, and AI-driven animations that respond as you move.

Then Mind-Meld with Da Vinci

Soon after, the Van Gogh world fades and Da Vinci’s mesmerising universe takes over. We found ourselves walking under the Mona Lisa’s smile, in a grand reconstruction of The Last Supper, and alongside curious flying machines and anatomical sketches. And get this-there’s AI tech (Art Meets AI) that lets you chat with Mona Lisa or trigger movement in his inventions by gesture and voice.

It felt like being in Da Vinci’s workshop-touching, exploring, and even “activating” his ideas. The original score (by Grammy-winning DJ Sasha) gave everything a modern edge.

What to Expect

  • Step into the genius of Da Vinci: see the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, his flying machines, anatomical sketches-all brought to life with interactive tech and spatial storytelling.
  • Gesture interventions, AI-enabled chat with Mona Lisa, and touchable art elements elevate this beyond a normal show

The Magic of a Travelling Show

What makes this even more exciting is that it isn’t a permanent Delhi exhibit-it’s a travelling immersive show that’s just in town till 31st July. After that, it moves on to other Indian cities. So if you’re planning to go, don’t wait.

Why It’s Special

  1. Travelling global hit – this immersive pair has already wowed audiences worldwide, now landing in Delhi before heading to other Indian cities.
  2. Cinema-grade production – over 4,300 sq ft of projection space; interactive elements enabled by AI, LiDAR sensors, high-end visuals and sound.
  3. Engaging & playful – it breaks the museum mould. Expect to touch, move, and even have Mona Lisa “talk” back via an AI bot.

Final Call

The legend duo – Van Gogh-an immersive story & Da Vinci Genius wraps up on 31st July. If you’re in Delhi and looking for something immersive, exciting, and truly out of the ordinary-this is it.

The idea of walking through Van Gogh’s swirly skies and then stepping right into Da Vinci’s genius world? Literal goosebumps. It’s like the kind of art experience that gives you a rush and chills. Adding this to my must-do list if I’m ever in the city!
